What these terms cover
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) describe how NewsTodayPH (“we”, “us”) operates, what we commit to editorially, what rights you have if you are named in or cited by a NewsTodayPH post, and the limits of our liability. By viewing or sharing a NewsTodayPH post on any social platform, you acknowledge these terms. We have no public website that hosts viewer accounts or interactive features, so there is no account agreement or sign-up flow attached to these terms.
1 · What we publish
A single AI-assisted news digest, once per night
Our editorial product is a fixed-cadence broadcast on social platforms — not an interactive service.
- One digest per night, published around 22:30 Philippine Time, summarizing five news stories from major Philippine publishers (ABS-CBN, GMA News, Inquirer, Rappler, Philstar).
- Each story is a factual summary in our editorial voice. We do not reproduce source phrasing — our rewriter is bound by a code-level copyright safeguard that requires fact-only restatement.
- Each story credits the original publisher by name on the slide, in the outro, and in the caption.
- Posts are produced with AI assistance (rewrite, narration, ranking, categorization). This is disclosed in every account bio and on the caption of every post.
- We publish to Threads, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. We do not host an audience-facing website.
2 · Your use of our posts
What viewers can do with our posts
You may view, like, share, comment on, and reference NewsTodayPH posts on the platforms where we publish them, subject to those platforms’ own terms of service. You may quote or screenshot a NewsTodayPH post for non-commercial commentary, criticism, or news reporting, provided you credit NewsTodayPH and link back to the original post when the medium allows. For any commercial use, redistribution at scale, or use in derivative news products, please contact us at newstodayph.hq@gmail.com.
3 · Source publishers & copyright
We summarize facts; we do not reproduce articles
NewsTodayPH respects the intellectual property rights of source publishers. Our AI rewriter operates under a non-negotiable copyright safeguard that requires fact-only restatement — we extract facts and never reproduce source phrasing. Any fact that cannot be cleanly restated is omitted. We do not republish original articles, photos, videos, or audio from source publishers.
Source publishers retain all rights to their original content. NewsTodayPH’s posts are our own editorial product, derived from publicly reported facts. If you are a source publisher and believe we have crossed the fact-summary line in a specific post, please use the takedown procedure below.
4 · Takedown procedure
For source publishers & copyright holders
To request takedown of a NewsTodayPH post that you believe infringes copyright or otherwise misuses your content:
- Email newstodayph.hq@gmail.com with the URL of the NewsTodayPH post, the URL of the original work, and a description of the issue.
- We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and respond substantively within 5 business days.
- If the request is valid, we will remove or edit the post within 24 hours of confirmation and update our pipeline to prevent recurrence.
- If we disagree, we will explain our reasoning. You retain all rights to pursue remedies under Philippine law.
5 · Right to be removed
For individuals named in a post
If you are named in a NewsTodayPH post and wish to be removed:
- Email newstodayph.hq@gmail.com with the post URL and your relationship to the content.
- We will respond within 5 business days.
- Where appropriate under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173), we will remove or edit the post and update our pipeline to prevent recurrence.
For full details on how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
6 · No warranty
Our posts are provided as-is
NewsTodayPH posts are factual summaries derived from public news articles, produced with AI assistance and operator supervision. We aim for accuracy, but:
- We make no warranty of completeness, accuracy, timeliness, or fitness for any particular purpose.
- Our summaries should not be used as the sole source for time-critical decisions (financial, legal, medical, safety). For those, consult the original source publishers and qualified professionals.
- We may correct or remove a post at any time if we determine it contains a material error. Corrections will be noted on the corrected post when the platform allows.
- To the maximum extent permitted by Philippine law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from reliance on our posts.
7 · Platform terms
We post under each platform's own developer terms
We publish to TikTok, Threads, Facebook, and Instagram via each platform’s official publishing API, and we comply with each platform’s developer and community terms. Your interaction with a NewsTodayPH post on any platform is governed by that platform’s terms of service in addition to these terms.
8 · Governing law
Philippine law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be brought in the courts located in the Philippines.
9 · Changes
How these terms are versioned
These Terms may be updated as the product evolves. The effective date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes — new platforms, changes to the takedown procedure, changes to liability — will be announced on our social accounts before they take effect.
